Offerings

In all of our yoga and yoga therapy settings, we work to cultivate increased self-esteem through the development of increased self and body awareness.

Individual Yoga Therapy

Working together one-on-one nurtures relationship and through relationship we build trust. Trust nurtures partnership. Working together with your child, Amy will develop a creative, supportive and individualized program specific to your child's unique development, personality and needs. During each session, we will explore dynamic and restorative movement, as well as breath work and relaxation. Our exploration might be integrated with music, art and literature.

Therapeutic Group Work

Directed by the needs and dynamic of each group, the work we do here supports language development, gross and fine motor development, and social and emotional development.

The physical practice of yoga helps to develop body awareness. We will also do work to support and enhance overall communication skills. In a positive and supportive learning environment, we will focus on developing problem-solving and decision making skills, self regulation and peer relations skills. During this time, we will explore group dynamic through games and activities that support self awareness as well as social awareness.

Therapy groups are as follows: Ages 5-8, Girls 9-12 and Teens 12 and up.

Other Offerings

Preschool Yoga: Playful Yoga for 3-5 year olds
In this class, we rely upon our creativity as we journey into imaginary forests, jungles and oceans and become like the animals who inhabit them. We roar like lions, stomp like elephants and swim like fish!

Elementary Yoga: 5-8 year olds
In this class, children have the opportunity to explore yoga through traditional poses, as well as child inspired ones. The natural energy, enthusiasm and curiosity of this age group makes for wonderful physical challanges and great fun!

Youth Yoga: 9-12 year olds
In this class, we learn about different aspects of yoga through journaling, cooperative games, relaxation and more. Children at this age guide each other and direct themselves toward more meaningful and challenging work in yoga.

Summer Camps: Boys and girls ages 5-8, Girls ages 9-12
A week long, morning yoga experience, including fieldtrips to do yoga in the park, cooking/preparing healthy snacks, journaling, art activities and more.
